By now you know that our mission team to the Jola-Gusilay is safely home. What you may not know, is that the team members will all be at Pathways during our regular worship service this Sunday to tell us what they did, and how God is moving in Senegal. Hear about the trip, see pictures of the folks we’re ministering to, and ask questions about future opportunities. It’s going to be a special service, you won’t want to miss.

Continue to pray for the team today, as they spend their last day in Tionk-Essil. Pray for the teams’ last night in the village. Pray for a joyous evening, for lasting friendships and meaningful conversations. Pray that the Gusilay will be released from their bondage. “Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man” (Acts 17:29).
The team was able to get flight arrangements made to fly from Ziguinchor to Dakar. Please pray that these arrangements work out so they can make their flight from Dakar to Dulles and make it safely back to the US on time.

We have heard from the team traveling to Tionk-Essil, Senegal early this morning. Prayers have been answered for safe travels to Dakar.
Unfortunately, they have had to make a minor change in their traveling plans from Dakar. Their plan was to take the 1 – 2 hour flight down to Zig and drive another 1- 2 hours up to Tionk-Essil, which would have put them into Tionk at a fairly decent time.
The long and short of it is that God has made different plans for their travels to Tionk. The flight to Zig was canceled so they are now having to drive from Dakar to Tionk-Essil. This means they have to travel through Gambia (A completely separate country…which can complicate things) to the Casamance Region of Senegal… Stan was hoping to arrive in Tionk some time this evening.
Its all in God’s plan, but add to your prayer guide for today, safety and smooth passage through Gambia as well open eyes and hearts to the people they may encounter on this altered leg of trip.
