Second Saturday Serve
Preach the Gospel always – if necessary, use words.
- St. Francis of Assisi
On Saturday, March 14th, Pathways helped provide dignity and a nicer place to live for some of God’s children who have fallen on hard times. The Harford Family House in Aberdeen provides transitional housing for homeless and jobless families, helping them get back on their feet without having to worry about the roof over their heads. Pathways volunteers performed basic landscaping and helped organize resident supplies, but the needs far outnumber the volunteers. Partnering with the Harford Family House provides the Pathways community with the opportunity to restore relational connection and dignity. We intend to continue this relationship, so look for future opportunities to get to know our neighbors and demonstrate Christ’s love at the same time.
Second Saturday Serve: Valentines
This Saturday (Feb 14th) we’re gathering at the Caiazzo’s house at 10:00 AM to bake cookies and make Valentines Cards for the Riverside Homeless Shelter. This is a great opportunity to teach our kids about selfless service – so bring your favorite cookie recipe (and what we need to make them) and materials for cards. The Caiazzo’s live at: 3610 Berkely Rd., Darlington, MD 21034, and can be reached at 443.472.3722.
